Making Calls
1. Make sure yourphone is on.
2. Entera phone numberfrom standby mode. If you
makeamistake while dialing, press to erase the
numbers.
3. Press . (To make a call when you are roaming
and Call Guard is enabled, see “Call Guard”on
page 111.)
4. Press when you are finished.
You can also place calls from yourphone by speed
dialing (page 26), by using Automatic Speech
Recognition (ASR, page 73), and by using yourHistory
listings (page 54).
Dialing Options
When you enternumbers in standby mode, you can see
available dialing options by pressing OPTIONS (right
softkey).
vAbbreviated Dialingto place calls using the abbreviated
dialing feature. (See “Abbreviated Dialing”on page 26.)
vSaveto save a phone numberin your Contacts. (See
“Saving a Phone Number”on page 24.)
vHard Pause to insert a hard pause. (See “Dialing and
Saving Phone Numbers With Pauses”on page 24.)
v2-Sec. Pauseto insert a two-second pause. (See
“Dialing and Saving Phone Numbers With Pauses”on
page 24.)
Tip You can also send a text message, Picture Mail, or
SMS voice message when the leftsoftkey displays
SEND MESSAGE.
Tip To redial yourlast outgoing call, press TALK,
highlight the call, and then press TALKagain.
When making calls offthe Nationwide Sprint
Network, always dial using 11 digits (1 + area code +
phone number).
