Answering Calls
1. Make sure yourphone is on. (If yourphone is off,
incoming calls go to voicemail.)
2. Press to answeran incoming call.
(Depending on yoursettings, you may also answer
incoming calls bypressing otherkeys. See “Call
AnswerMode”on page 46.)
Yourphone notifies you of incoming calls in the
following ways:
vThe phone rings orvibrates.
vThe backlight illuminates.
vThe screen displaysan incoming call message.
If the incoming call is from a numberstored in your
Contacts, the entry’s name is displayed. The caller’s
phone numbermay also be displayed, if available.
When receiving a call, press one of the following keys for
otheractions:
nto answera call in speakermode.
nIGNOREWITH TEXT (right softkey) to ignorethe call
and send a text message to the caller.
nto ignore a call.
nSILENCE(left softkey) to mute the ringerand
vibration.
Note When yourphone is off, all calls go directly to
voicemail.
Tip Pressing the BACKkey orany of the side buttons
can also mute the ringerandvibration.
Note IGNOREWITHTEXT may not be displayed when
calls are from entries identified as No CallerID,
Private, orUnavailable ID .
