Setting Roam Mode
Yourphone allows you to control yourroaming
capabilities. By using the Roaming menu option, you
can determine which signals yourphone accepts.
Choose from two different settings on yourphone to
control yourroaming experience.
1. Press >Settings > More...> Roaming >Set Mode.
2. Highlight an option and press .
nSprint Only
to access only the Sprint network and
prevent roaming on othernetworks.
nAutomaticto seek service on the Nationwide Sprint
Network. When Sprint service is unavailable, the
phone searches foran alternate service.
Call Guard
Yourphone has two ways of alerting you when you are
roaming off the Nationwide Sprint Network: the
onscreen roaming icon and Call Guard. Call Guard
makes it easy to manage yourroaming by requiring an
extra step before you can place oranswera roaming
call. (This additional step is not required when you make
orreceive calls while on the Nationwide Sprint Network.)
To turn Call Guard on oroff:
1. Press >Settings > More... > Roaming >
Call Guard.
2. Select OnorOff.
To place roaming calls with Call Guard on:
1. From standby mode, dial 1 + area code + the
seven-digit numberand press .
2. Read the message and press .
Note Call Guardis turned on by default on yourphone.
Voice dialing and speed dialing are not available
when you are roaming with Call Guard enabled.
