Key Functions
1. Earpiecelets you hearthe caller and automated
prompts.
2. DisplayScreen displays all the information needed
tooperate yourphone, such as the call status, the
Contacts list, the date and time, and the signal and
battery strength.
3. MENU/OKKey lets you access the phone’s menus
and selects the highlighted choice when navigating
through a menu.
4. TALKKey allows you to place orreceive calls,
answerCall Waiting, use Three-Way Calling, or
activate Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).
5. TEXTKeylets you access the text message entry
screen.
6. Navigation Keyscrolls through the phone’s menu
options and acts as a shortcut key from standby
mode. These keys can be reassigned to create
customized shortcuts. See “Navigation Key
Shortcuts”on page 45.
7. Microphoneallows other callers to hearyou clearly
when you are speaking to them.
8. Internal Antennafacilitates reception and
transmission. To maximize performance, do not
obstruct the internal antenna while communicating.

9. QWERTYKeyboardlets you enter numbers, letters,
and characters, and perform functions with single
key press orcombined keypresses.
10. BACKKey deletes characters from the display in text
input mode. When in a menu, pressing it returns you
to the previous menu. This key also allows you to
return to the previous screen in a data session.
11. END/POWER Keylets you turn the phone on oroff,
end a call, orcancel yourinput and return to
standbymode.
12. Softkeyslet you select softkey actions ormenu items
corresponding to the bottom left and right lines on
the screen.
13. Camera Lens,as part of the built-in camera, lets you
takepictures.
