Automatic Speech Recognition

(ASR)

Youcan use yourphone’sbuilt-in automatic speech
recognition (ASR)softwareto dial a phone numberor to
launch phone functions. All you haveto do is to talk into
the phone, and ASR will recognizeyourvoice and
complete tasks byitself.

Activating ASR

©From standby mode, press and hold or .
The “SAYACOMMAND”screen appears and the phone
prompts you to say the name of the command you want
to use. To complete yourtask, simply follow the voice
prompts.
Available ASR commands are:
vCall<Name or #> to call an entry in yourContacts list
ora spoken phone number. (See page 74 fordetails.)
vGo To<Menu> to jump directly to menu items or
applications. (See page 74 fordetails.)
vCheck<Item> to check yourphone’s status. (See
page 75 fordetails.)
Tip Use ASR in a quiet environment so it can accurately
recognize yourcommands.
During ASR operation, press HELP(left softkey)to
get instructions using the software.
