The guidelines listed below help you get the most out of your
battery’s performance.
vRecently there have been some public reports of wireless
phone batteries overheating, catching fire orexploding. It
appears that many, if not all, of these reports involve
counterfeit orinexpensive, aftermarket-brand batteries with
unknown orquestionable manufacturing standards. Sprint is

from the properuse of batteries and accessories approved by

approved ormanufacturer-approved batteries and

right batteries and accessories is the best way to ensure
they’re genuine and safe.
vDo not disassemble oropen crush, bend ordeform, puncture
orshred the battery.
vDo not modify orremanufacture, attempt to insert foreign
objects into the battery, immerse orexpose to waterorother
liquids, expose to fire, explosion orotherhazard.
vAvoid dropping the phone orbattery. If the phone orbattery is
dropped, especially on a hard surface, and the usersuspects
damage, take it to a service centerforinspection.
vImproperbattery use may result in a fire, explosion orother
hazard.
vDo not short circuit a battery orallow metallic conductive
objects to contact battery terminals.
vKeep the metal contacts on top of the battery clean.
vBattery usage by children should be supervised.
Charging
vIn orderto avoid damage, charge the battery only in
temperatures that range from 32° Fto 113° F(0° C to 45° C).
vDon’t use the battery chargerin direct sunlight orin high
humidity areas, such as the bathroom.
vThe battery may need recharging if it has not been used fora
long period of time.
vIt’s best to replace the battery when it no longerprovides
acceptable performance. It can be recharged hundreds of
times beforeit needs replacing.
