NOTE The web server and FTP server of the digital receiver don’t work in standby mode. So it must be powered up all the time if you wish to use the web service at any time.
9.1 Configuring the access point
In this section, the setup program of WRT54G, which is an ac- cess point manufactured by Linksys, will be refered to as an exemplary description to help your understanding of how to configure your access point for the digital receiver’s wireless connection. For detailed descriptions of how to set up the ac- cess point, refer to the manual of your access point.
9.1.1 To access the digital receiver indoors
Once your access point is powered up, whether it is connected to the Internet or not, a local area network is created.
You can let the access point automat- ically assign a dynamic IP address to a computer or device connected to the network by enabling the DHCP server of the access point. In this case, you can access the digital receiver if you know the IP address which is assigned to the digital receiver by the access point.
