5.4 Watchingby time shiftWhenyou are watching a program, you can reverse and watch
itagain as if it is a recording. This function is called time shift.
When you are watching a programusing the time shift func-
tion,it is in fact being recorded temporarily.
To use the time shift function,
theTime Shiftingoption have to
beset to Enable. Refer the Time
Shiftingoption to§ 3.6.
How to use the time shift func-
tionis as follows:
1. Press button,then a time shift begins as a progress
bar appears. The progress bar has two pointers. One
indicates recording position, and the other indicates a
playbackposition. While this bar is on display, you can
movethe program backward or forward. Pressing
makesthe progress bar appear and disapper alternatively.
2. Tofind a desired playback position, press or
buttonunceasingly until it is found.
3. Pressingthe buttonreverses the program to 10 sec-
ondsback.
4. To end time shift, display the progress bar with
buttonand press button.
