Tax Exemption
When an entire sale must be exempted from designated or all taxes (Tax/PST 1, Tax/PST 2, GST), the [EX]
key is used near the end of the sale finalization.

(To exempt an individual item from designated taxes, only

Tax Modifier Keys are used in entering the item. Refer to the section “Tax Status Modification” on the

preceding page.)

2. After depressing the [EX] key, the sale

must only be finalized (for payment

through media keys).

3. If the “Non-taxable Amount Limit” is set

for certain areas in Canada, using the

[GST/M] key will cause an error and

GST Exemption is not allowed.
