WorkCentre Fault Codes
Fault codes are listed below. If multiple faults exist, only the
| Fault Code | Customer Action |
|
| E7 | Switch the main power off, wait 5 seconds and switch |
|
| H2 - H4 | the power on. Repeat two or three times. If the error |
|
| L1 - L6 | persists, call |
|
| U2 |
|
|
| C1 | The front door of the machine is open. Close the |
|
|
| front door. |
|
| CH | The toner cartridge is not installed in the machine. |
|
|
| Install the toner cartridge. |
|
| Toner indicator | When the toner cartridge replacement indicator |
|
| light | appears, the toner cartridge will need to be replaced |
|
|
| soon. Be sure to have a replacement cartridge in |
|
|
| stock. You may extend the life of the toner cartridge |
|
|
| by removing it from the machine and shaking it from |
|
|
| side to side to loosen additional toner. |
|
| Drum indicator | The drum indicator is on when the drum is near |
|
| light | end of life (1,000 pages remaining) and blinks |
|
|
| when the drum is at end of life (refer to Drum |
|
|
| Cartridge Life). |
|
| J2 | Replace the drum cartridge. |
|
| Jam indicator | E1 Paper jam in the paper feed tray. |
|
| light | E2 Paper jam inside of the machine. |
|
|
| E3 Paper jam in the paper exit area. |
|

The paper feed tray is empty. Load paper.
