Generic Filter Rule

This section will show you how to configure the protocol- independent parameters for a Generic filter rule for your Prestige. For information on the protocol-dependent fields, refer to the previous section, TCP/IP Filter Rule and the following section, Novell IPX Filter Rule. The fields in the menu are indicated in bold type.

1.Offset - Offset refers to the value of the byte that you want to use as your starting offset. That is, in the data packet, at what point do you want to begin the comparison. The range for this field is from 0 to 255. Default = 0
