General Setup

This menu contains administrative and system-related information. Enter 1 in the main menu to go to Menu 1 - General Setup.

1.System Name - Choose a descriptive name for the Prestige for identification purposes, e.g., p128. This name should be no more than 8 alphanumeric characters. Spaces are not allowed, but “-” and “_” are accepted. This name can be retrieved remotely via SNMP, used for CHAP authentication, and will be displayed as the prompt in the Command Mode. See Chapter 6 for more information on CHAP; see Chapter 14 for more information on Command Mode.
