Maintenance

2Check the tension of the steering wires by squeezing them together by the arrows as illustrated. It should be possible to push them together so that the distance between them is half as much, without using unnecessary force.

3If necessary, the wires can be adjusted by tightening the adjuster nuts on each side of the steering collar. Do not over tighten the cables; they should only be drawn in towards the steering collar.

Hold the cable, for example using an adjustable wrench, so that it does not twist.

If the adjustment is only made on one side, the middle position of the steering will be affected.

Check the wire tension on completion of the adjustment as per item 2.

If doubts arise, contact your service representative.

If adjustment is necessary, adjust the lower wire as follows:

1Loosen the clamping screw for the cable’s outer casing and move the throttle to the full throttle position.

2Check that the throttle wire is attached to the correct hole in the lower lever, see diagram.

3Pull the throttle wire casing to the far left and tighten the clamping screw.
