11. DISCONNECTING THE MOWER FROM THE TRACTOR
Before disconnecting the mower, the PTO must be disengaged and all motion at a complete stop. Move the mower to a level storage location and lower to the ground. If the mower is not resting securely on the ground, block the mower up securely before attempting to disconnect it from the tractor. Use extreme care to keep feet and hands from under the mower and clear of any pinch points.

After disconnecting the 3 lift points, remove the mower driveline from the tractor PTO shaft. Lay the driveline down carefully to avoid damaging the driveline or its shield. Do not let the driveline fall into mud or dirt, which can contaminate the bearing and shorten the life of the driveline.
Never work under the Implement, the framework, or any lifted component unless the Implement is securely supported or blocked up to prevent sudden or inadvertent falling which could cause serious injury or even death.
Always shut the Tractor completely down, place the transmission in park, and set the parking brake before you or anyone else attempts to connect or disconnect the Implement and Tractor hitches.
