Streamer s. The Video Accelerator kernel software ensures content on the Streamers is always the most popular content; that is, the content requested by the largest number of subscribers. The Video Accelerator is responsible for the following:

•Content Storage

•Streaming

•Bandwidth usage for ingests

•Bandwidth usage for streaming

•Mirroring content among Vault servers

•Decisions on content retention on Streamer servers

Hardware Features

The Cisco Internet Streamer and TV CDS Release 2.0-2.1 CDEs are the CDE100, CDE200, CDE300, and CDE400. Figure 1-1shows the front view of the CDE100 and Figure 1-2shows the rear view of the CDE100.
