CARGA DE BATERÍAS NI-MH EN EL G3 continuado

Para cargar las baterías:

1.Conecte el adaptador/cargador de corriente alterna.

2.Con el G3 apagado, instale 4 baterías NI-MH y conecte el adaptador/ cargador de corriente alterna.

3.Presione el botón de F7 durante aproximadamente 3 segundos, o hasta que el CHARGE 00 aparezca en pantalla.

4.Use la rueda sintonizadora para seleccionar el tiempo de carga en horas (00-36) basado en la capacidad mAH de sus baterías: 11 horas para una capacidad de 1100 mAH; 23 horas para una de 2300 mAH, etc. y presione el botón de PAGE/TIME cuando termine.

5.En la pantalla, los segmentos del símbolo de batería se activan continuamente de izquierda a derecha durante la carga. La carga de la batería termina una vez que el tiempo de carga haya concluido.

AJUSTES INICIALES

Asegúrese de alimentar corriente por medio de un adaptador de corriente alterna o de baterías; asegúrese de que el aparato esté desbloqueado y de que el interruptor DX/LOCAL (panel izquierdo) se introduzca la posición de DX.

CONFIGURACIÓN DE AM Y FM FUERA

DE NORTEAMÉRICA

Para usar el G3 en Norteamérica (Estados Unidos o Canadá), ningún cambio en los ajustes de fábrica iniciales será necesario.

En Norteamérica, las emisoras de AM aparecen espaciadas de 10 en 10 KHz. En Europa y otras áreas, aparecen espaciadas de 9 en 9 KHz. En Norteamérica, la frecuencia FM comienza en 87,5 MHz. En otras partes del mundo, puede comenzar en 76 MHz. Siga estos pasos para configurar esto en su área:

1.Con el G3 apagado, presione el botón de F5 durante aproximadamente 3 segundos - ‘9’ ‘o 10’ parpadeará en pantalla.

2.Presione de F5 de forma secuencial para seleccionar 9 ó 10, seguido del botón de ‘PAGE/TIME’ – la frecuencia FM parpadeará en pantalla.

3.Presione el botón de F5 de forma secuencial hasta que aparezca el principio de la frecuencia de su área, y luego presione tPAGE/TIME.

CONTROL DE VOLUMEN

Con el G3 encendido o apagado, sírvase de los botones de +-/VOL o del teclado numérico para adaptarse a los niveles de volumen 0-31. El número de nivel aparece en pantalla. Para ajustar el volumen con el teclado numérico, introduzca el nivel de volumen deseado y apriete el botón de + o - VOL en los 3 segundos siguientes.

SELECCIÓN DE LW, AM, FM, FRECUENCIA AÉREA (AIRCRAFT) Y ONDA CORTA

Por favor tenga en cuenta que en Norteamérica ninguna emisora Longwave (LW – onda larga) transmite en esta frecuencia y que puede que usted oiga imágenes de emisión de frecuencia.

1.Encienda el G3. Para seleccionar LW o AM, presione el botón de AM BAND, teniendo en cuenta que cada vez que usted presione este botón, se alternará la frecuencia en LW con la de AM.

2.Para FM, presione el botón de FM BAND. Observará que si lo presiona una segunda vez le llevará a frecuencia aérea.

3.Para entrar en la frecuencia aérea presione el botón de FM dos veces.

4.Para entrar en una frecuencia específica de onda corta, presione de forma secuencial el botón de ‘METERBAND’ para seleccionar la frecuencia de su elección. También se puede tener acceso a las frecuencias de onda corta más populares mediante los botones F1-F7 (F1=49m, F2=41m, F3=31m, F4=25m, F5=22m, F6=19m, F7=16m).
