must be less than 10 mm (3/8"). If the documents exceed the capacity of the auto document feeder, they may fall or cause a jam in the feeder.
LDo not set the following types of documents when using the auto document feeder: (Make a copy of the document using the scanner glass and set the copy instead.)
–Chemically treated paper such as carbon or carbonless duplicating paper
–Electrostatically charged paper
–Badly curled, creased or torn paper
–Paper with a coated surface
–Paper with printing on the opposite side that can be seen through the other side, such as newsprint
3.4Storing items for the
For rapid access to frequently dialed numbers, the unit provides the
LStation 1 to 3 can be used alternatively as broadcast keys (page 34).

3.4.1 Storing one-touch dial item
1Press {MENU} repeatedly to display “DIRECTORY SET”.
2Select the desired station key.
For stations 1–3:
1.Press one of the station keys.
Example: STATION 1
DIAL MODE [V^]
2.Press {SET}.
For stations
Press one of the station keys.
For stations
Press {LOWER}, then press one of the station keys.
3Enter the name, up to 16 characters (see page 25 for instructions).
4Press {SET}.
5Enter the telephone number, up to 32 digits.
6Press {SET}.
LTo program other items, repeat steps 2 to 6.
7Press {STOP} to exit.
