Using the keyboard

The keyboa rd ha s full-sized keys a nd a n embedded keypa d, sepa ra te c ursor keys, two Windows keys a nd twelve func tion keys.

Lock key

Description

 

 

C a ps Loc k When C a ps Loc k is on, a lla lpha betic c ha ra c ters typed a re in upperc a se .

Num Loc k When Num Loc k is on, the embedded keypa d is in numeric

(Fn-F11) mode . The keys func tion a s a c a lc ula tor (c omplete with the a rithmetic opera tors +, -, *, a nd / ). Use this mode when you need to do a lot of numeric da ta entry. A better solution would be to c onnec t a n externa l keypa d.

Sc roll Loc k When Sc roll Loc k is on, the sc reen moves one line up ordown

(Fn-F12) when you press the up or down a rrow keys respec tively. Sc roll Loc k does not work with some a pplic a tions.

Note: To a c c ess the Num Loc k a nd Sc roll Loc k func tions, hold the Fn key down while pressing the F11 a nd F12 keys respec tively.
