If the line is busy or if there is no answer, the unit will automatically redial the number up to 2 times.

LTo cancel redialling, press {STOP}, then press {SET}.

If your unit does not send a fax

LConfirm the stored telephone number on the

display and check that the number dialled is answered by the other party’s machine.

LThe connecting tone will be heard after dialling to tell you the status of the other party’s machine (feature #76, page 39).

For MANUAL BROADCAST:

1.Press {MANUAL BROAD}.

2.Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to select “MANUAL BROAD”.

3Press {SET}.

4Program entries.

Using stations 1–11:

Press the desired station key.

Using stations 12–22:

Press {LOWER}, then press the desired station key.

Using navigator directory:

Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired entry, and press {SET}.

Using the dial keypad (only for MANUAL BROAD):

Enter the fax number and press {SET}.

L To program other entries, repeat this step (up to 20 entries).

5Press {SET} after programming all of the desired entries.

L To program another broadcast key, repeat steps 2 to 5.

6Press {STOP} to exit the program.

4.4Broadcast transmission

By programming entries from one-touch dial (page 21) and navigator directory (page 21) into the broadcast memory, you can send the same document to multiple parties (up to 20). Your programmed entries will remain in the broadcast memory, allowing frequent re-use. See page 29 for broadcast transmission instructions.

LThe broadcast function utilises stations 1–3. The one-touch dial function will be disabled.

4.4.1Programming entries into the broadcast memory

1Press {DIRECTORY PROGRAM}.

Note:

LIf you program the wrong entry, press

{STOP} after step 4 to erase the entry.

LConfirm the stored entries by printing a broadcast programming list (page 55).

4.4.2Adding a new entry into the broadcast memory

After initial programming, you can add new entries (up to a combined total of 20).

1Press {>}.

LConfirm that there are no documents in the document entrance.

2Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired broadcast memory (“<BROADCAST1>”, “<BROADCAST2>” or “<MANUAL BROAD>”).

3Press {DIRECTORY PROGRAM}.
