ASetting the RESOLUTION

To set the resolution for the recordings.

Select "RESOLUTION" using the control button ({) and select a setting using the control button (}~). FULL: NTSC: 704 × 480, PAL: 704 × 576

HALF: NTSC: 704 × 240, PAL: 704 × 288

QUAD: NTSC: 352 × 240, PAL: 352 × 288

BSetting a CHANNEL

To set the recording settings of each channel.

Select an item for each setting using the control button ({) and select a setting value using the control button

(}~).

Setting a CHANNEL

Select "CHANNEL" and select a channel.

CH1 - CH16

In DSR-2108, CH1 - CH8.

Setting the FRAME RATE (Unit: ips)

Select "FRAME RATE" and select a value.

NTSC: OFF/1/2/ ... 29/30 (ips)

PAL: OFF/1/2/ ... 24/25 (ips)

Depending on the RESOLUTION settings, the total FRAME RATE available is limited as follows. If the total exceeds the limit the FRAME RATE of other channels cannot be set.

If FULL is selected under resolution setting:

NTSC: It is possible to select up to a total of 30 frames for channels 1 to 8 and up to a total of 30 frames for channels 9 to 16

PAL: It is possible to select up to a total of 25 frames for channels 1 to 8 and up to a total of 25 frames for channels 9 to 16

In DSR-2108, it is possible to select up to 30 (NTSC)/ 25 (PAL) frames.

If HALF is selected under resolution setting:

NTSC: It is possible to select up to a total of 60 frames for channels 1 to 8 and up to a total of 60 frames for channels 9 to 16

PAL: It is possible to select up to a total of 50 frames for channels 1 to 8 and up to a total of 50 frames for channels 9 to 16

In DSR-2108, it is possible to select up to 60 (NTSC)/ 50 (PAL) frames.

If QUAD is selected under resolution setting:

NTSC: It is possible to select up to a total of 120 frames for channels 1 to 8 and up to a total of 120 frames for channels 9 to 16

PAL: It is possible to select up to a total of 100 frames for channels 1 to 8 and up to a total of 100 frames for channels 9 to 16

In DSR-2108, it is possible to select up to 120 (NTSC)/ 100 (PAL) frames.

Calculation of the total FRAME RATE is performed using the FRAME RATE set in the RECORD menu or the FRAME RATE set in the REAL-TIME REC SET menu, whichever is greater.

Setting the QUALITY

To select "QUALITY" and select the video quality.

Selections: NETWORK/ECONOMY/BASIC/NORMAL/FINE

Setting the RECORDING

To select "RECORDING" and select the recording mode.

CONTINUOUS (P17)

Recording is performed while this unit is turned on.

MOTION recording (P17)

Recording is performed as soon as the internal motion sensor of this unit reacts.
