Personal Safety
•Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense. Do not use electrical devices when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medica- tions. A moment of inattention while oper- ating an electrical device may result in se- rious personal injury.
•Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enables better control of the electrical device in unexpected situations.
•Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate conditions.
•Dress properly. Do not wear loose cloth- ing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
Electrical Device Use and Care
•Do not force electrical device. Use the correct electrical device for your appli- cation. The correct electrical device will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
•Do not use the electrical device if the switch does not turn it ON and OFF. Any electrical device that cannot be con- trolled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
•Store idle electrical devices out of the reach of children and do not allow per- sons unfamiliar with electrical devices or these instructions to operate the electrical device. Electrical devices are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
•Maintain electrical devices. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the electrical devices’ operation. If damaged, have the electrical device repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained electrical devices.
•Use the electrical device and acces- sories in accordance with these instruc- tions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be per- formed. Use of the electrical device for
operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
Service
•Electrical device service must be per- formed only by qualified repair person- nel. Service or maintenance performed by unqualified repair personnel could result in injury.
•When servicing an electrical device, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions in the Maintenance Section of this manual. Use of unautho- rized parts or failure to follow maintenance instructions may create a risk of electrical shock or injury.

microEXPLORER™ Digital Inspection Camera Safety
•Do not immerse the handle or the dis- play unit in water. Such measures re- duce the risk of electric shock and dam- age. The imager head and the cable are water resistant when the unit is fully as- sembled, but the video display is not.
•Do not place the microEXPLORER in- spection camera anywhere that may contain a live electrical charge. This in- creases the risk of electrical shock.
