Setting a Cool-Down Time Limit

You can limit how long a user cools down after exercising on the unit by entering a time between 0 and 5 minutes.

Important: It is highly recommended that you set the cool- down period at or above three minutes. It takes time for a user’s heart rate to return to a resting state after vigorous exercise. An effective cool-down period also reduces the amount of lactic acid in muscle tissue.

4.At the SET COOL DOWN TIME prompt, press OK. Use the navigational arrow keys to display the available time limits. The default setting is 5 minutes.

5.When you are ready, press OK to accept the displayed setting and move to the next program. Or, press RESET to cancel changes and return to the Precor banner.

Setting the CrossRamp Auto-Reset Feature

The EFX has an auto-reset feature. The ramp resets to a specific incline level when you begin your exercise session and choose a program that has a different initial CrossRamp setting then the previously used program.

6.At the SET CROSSRAMP prompt, press OK. Use the navigational arrow keys to select the desired ramp incline level between 1 and 20.

7.When you are ready, press OK to accept the displayed setting and return to the SET MAX PAUSE TIME prompt. Or, press RESET to cancel changes and return to the Precor banner.
