2.Binocular Body

Follow the sarne procedure for B-tube, F-tube, ER-tube and UW-tube.

To the depression prism unit, whose adjustment has been completed, attach central axle e@) (@ for UW-tube ).

2-1.Positioning of prisms @ and@

1)Insert the crosshair eyepiece into tefteye sleeve @ (@), and move the test plate to bring its center into coincidence with the center of crosshair.

2)~ove the righteye tube.

3)See the displacement of the test plate image in the lefthand eyepiece.

4)No displacement will take place, so far as the prisms are in the specified positions.

5)If the image moves vertically, raise prisms

@and @ in the direction of the

 

arrow in Fig. 34.

1)Insert the crosshair eyepiece into the righteye sleeve, and bring the center of the crosshair into coincidence with that of the test plate.

2)Moving the righthand tube, change the position of sleeve metal @ (@) (with eyepiece) to bring the center of the crosshair to the position, where the image does not move.

3). Lock screw @ (@:g) ).
