IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.

§Read and follow all instructions.

§Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.

§Disconnect the telephone from the telephone line before cleaning. Do not use aerosol or liquid cleaners. Use a damp cloth only.

§Do not use this equipment near water, for example, a bathtub, pool, sink or laundry tub.

§Do not use this equipment in a wet basement.

§If this equipment accidentally falls into water, do not retrieve it until you have disconnected it from the telephone line. Disconnect it at the wall jack only.

§This product should not be placed near or over a radiator or heat register.

§Do not place this product in such a way as to cause the cord to be a tripping hazard.

§To avoid the risk of electrical shock, never push objects of any kind through slots or openings in the product.

§Do not disassemble this product. Opening the product can expose hazardous voltage, which may cause an electrical shock.

§Unplug this equipment and refer to a qualified technician if:

1.The cord is damaged or frayed.

2.Liquid has been spilled on this equipment.

3.This equipment has been exposed to water or rain.

4.If this equipment does not operate properly.

5.If this equipment has been dropped or appears damaged.

§Avoid using this equipment during an electrical storm.

§Do not use this equipment to report a gas leak if it is in the vicinity of the leak.

§This product should not be placed on an unstable table, stand or cart. The product may fall, causing serious damage to it.

§Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in risk of fire and electrical shock.

§This product should only be operated from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supplied to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
