Intercom/Locator

Intercom

Intercom calls can be made between a handset and the base unit.

Note:

L If you receive an outside call while talking on the intercom, you hear 2 tones.

To answer the call with the handset, press {ic}, then press {C}.

To answer the call with the base unit, press {s} 2 times.

LWhen paging unit(s), the paged unit(s) beeps for 1 minute.

Making an intercom call

Base unit

L To stop paging, press {x}.

2When you finish talking, press {s}.

Answering an intercom call

Handset

1Press {C} to answer the page.

2When you finish talking, press

{ic}.

Base unit

1Press {x} to answer the page.

2When you finish talking, press {s}.

Handset locator

You can locate a misplaced handset by paging it.

1Base unit:

Press {x} and wait for a few seconds.

L All registered handsets beep for 1 minute.

2To stop paging:

Base unit: Press {x}.

Handset:

Press 4, then press {ic}.

Transferring calls, conference calls

Outside calls can be transferred or a conference call with an outside party can be made between a handset and the base unit.

Handset

1During an outside call, press 4to put the call on hold.

3Wait for the paged party to answer. L If the paged party does not

answer, press ^to return to the outside call.

4To complete the transfer: Press {ic}.

L The outside call is being routed to the destination unit.

To establish a conference call: Press w.

L To leave the conference, press {ic}. The other 2 parties can continue the conversation.
