Operating additional handsets

Additional handsets

Up to 6 handsets can be registered to the base unit.

Important:

LSee page 4 for information on the available model.

LAdditional handsets will give you the freedom to, for example, have an intercom call with another handset while a third handset is on an outside call.

Intercom

Intercom calls can be made between handsets.

Note:

LIf you receive an outside call while talking on the intercom, you hear 2 tones. To answer the call, press {OFF}, then press {C}.

LWhen paging a unit for an intercom call, the paged unit beeps for 1 minute.

Making an intercom call

1{INTERCOM}

2Select the handset you want to page by pressing the desired handset number ({1} – {6}).

LTo stop paging, press {OFF}.

3When you finish talking, press

{OFF}.

Answering an intercom call

1Press {C} or {s} to answer the page.

2When you finish talking, press

{OFF}.

Handset locator

You can locate a misplaced handset by paging it.

1Base unit:

{x} (LOCATOR)

LThe handset beeps for 1 minute.

2To stop paging:

Base unit:

Press {x} (LOCATOR).

Handset: Press {OFF}.

Transferring calls between handsets, conference calls

Outside calls can be transferred between 2 handsets. 2 handsets can have a conference call with an outside party.

1During an outside call, press

{TRANSFER} to put the call on hold.

2Select the handset you want to transfer to by pressing the desired handset number ({1} – {6}).

3Wait for the paged party to answer. LIf the paged party does not answer, press {C} to return to the outside

call.

4To complete the transfer: Press {OFF}.

LThe outside call is being routed to the handset.
