Unpacking
The machine is heavy, be careful when removing it from the shipping container! Failure to comply may cause serious injury and/or damage to the sander and/or property!
Your DELTA® Heavy Duty Oscillating Bench Spindle Sander comes packed in a single container. Use a safety strap to avoid
Open the shipping container. Carefully remove packaging materials, parts and machine from shipping carton. Always check for and remove protective shipping materials around motors and moving parts. Lay out all parts on a clean work surface and check that all parts are present and in good condition:

Compare the items to inventory figures; verify that all items are accounted for before discarding the shipping box. Report any missing or damaged parts to your distributor or dealer. Prior to tool assembly and use, read this manual thoroughly to familiarize yourself with proper assembly, maintenance and safety procedures.
Remove any protective materials and coatings from all of the parts and the drum sander. The protective coatings can be removed by spraying
If any parts are missing, do not attempt to plug in the power cord and turn “ON" the machine. The machine should only be turned “ON" after all the parts have been obtained and installed correctly.
