cambio de hoja (12) hasta que el bloqueo de la hoja trabe y la hoja deje de girar.

•Ajuste bien el tornillo de ajuste de la hoja (24) con la llave para cambio de hoja. NOTA: La llave para cambio de hoja se almacena en la cubierta de la sierra como se muestra en la figura M.

Nota: Nunca trabe el bloqueo de la hoja con la sierra en funcionamiento ni intente trabar la hoja para detener la herramienta. Nunca encienda la sierra mientras el bloqueo de la hoja esté trabado. Esto ocasionaría daños graves a la sierra.

Protector inferior de la hoja

ADVERTENCIA: Peligro de laceración. ADVERTENCIA: El protector inferior de la hoja es un dispositivo de seguridad que reduce el riesgo de lesiones personales graves. Nunca utilice la sierra si el protector inferior falta, está dañado, mal montado o no funciona correctamente. No confíe en el protector inferior de la hoja para protegerse ante cualquier circunstancia. Su seguridad depende de que respete todas las advertencias y precauciones y de que opere la sierra adecuadamente. Antes de cada uso, verifique que el protector inferior cierre correctamente como se describe en la sección Normas de seguridad adicionales para sierras circulares. Si el protector inferior de la hoja falta o no funciona adecuadamente, haga reparar la sierra antes de usarla. Para garantizar la seguridad y la confiabilidad del producto, las reparaciones, el mantenimiento y los ajustes se deben realizar en los centros de mantenimiento autorizados o en otras organizaciones de mantenimiento calificadas, y siempre deben utilizarse piezas de repuesto idénticas.

ADVERTENCIA: Para minimizar el riesgo de lesión ocular, utilice siempre protección para los ojos. El carburo es un material duro pero frágil. Los materiales extraños en la pieza de trabajo como alambres o clavos pueden ocasionar el quiebre o la rotura de las puntas. Sólo opere la sierra si el protector de la hoja de la sierra adecuado se encuentra en su lugar. Antes de usar la sierra, monte la hoja de manera segura en la dirección de rotación correspondiente y utilice siempre una hoja limpia y afilada.

PRECAUCIÓN: No utilice esta sierra para cortar metales ferrosos (acero), mampostería, vidrios o cerámicos. Una hoja sin filo puede ocasionar un corte lento e ineficiente, la sobrecarga del motor, la formación excesiva de astillas y puede aumentar la posibilidad de retroceso de la hoja.

INTERRUPTOR

La herramienta está equipada con un mecanismo de bloqueo del interruptor que evita que se ponga en funcionamiento en forma accidental.

•Para operar la herramienta, presione el botón de bloqueo (2) de cualquiera de los lados de la sierra y sosténgalo mientras presiona el interruptor de velocidad variable (1).

•Luego de presionar el interruptor y de poner la herramienta en funcionamiento, libere el botón de bloqueo. La unidad funcionará el tiempo que se mantenga oprimido el disparador.

•Para apagar la herramienta, suelte el interruptor disparador.

NOTA: Esta herramienta no posee un dispositivo para mantenerla en marcha constante y nunca se debe trabar el interruptor de ninguna otra manera.

FRENO ELÉCTRICO AUTOMÁTICO

La sierra viene equipada con un freno eléctrico automático que detiene la hoja de la sierra después de los cinco segundos de haber liberado el disparador. Funciona de manera automática y no requiere ajustes.

Ocasionalmente, en determinadas condiciones, el freno no funcionará correctamente y no detendrá la sierra en 1 1/2 segundos como se indicó anteriormente. Si esto ocurre:

•Apague y encienda la sierra cuatro o cinco veces.

•Si el problema aún persiste, haga reparar la herramienta en un centro de mantenimiento de Black & Decker o en una instalación de mantenimiento autorizada.
