I/O CARD READY

3.If I/O CARD READY appears, the card has been installed successfully. Proceed to “Step 6. Configure the Card for Network Operation.”

4.If I/O CARD READY does not appear, check that you have:

■Installed the card correctly and properly connected the card to the network

■Verified that the network is operating properly

■Turned the printer off and then on again

2 Installing the Print Server

Note	For HP J3113A 10/100Base-TX cards: See
	appendix A in this guide for special troubleshooting
	information.
	For LocalTalk-Only Customers: If you are
	not connected to an Ethernet network, “I/O CARD
	NOT READY” and “LAN ERROR - EXTERNAL
	LOOPBACK” messages may appear. These
	messages should stop appearing after three
	minutes. To eliminate the messages, attach
	an Ethernet loopback connector to one of the
	Ethernet ports.
