sv6 diagnostics

Use the diagnostic tool for troubleshooting. The executable is /usr/local/bin/sv6diag. More usage details can be found by view- ing the man page for sv6diag, or running sv6diag -h. Diagnostic results are generated as a table showing the pass/fail status for each component in the system.

sv6diag runs the following sequence of tests:

Back - Verifies name resolution on slaves

Comp - Tests RS232 connectivity to the compositor(s)

Digi - Verifies connectivity to slaves through the Digi-Etherlite terminal server

Forw - Verifies name resolution on master Giga - Tests connectivity on 1000 baseT network Ping - Verifies connectivity to terminal server Rsh - Verifies Remote Shell Capability

Tnet - Tests connectivity on 10/100baseT network

Usage: To run the test suite, type: sv6diag [-abcdglnprt]

Description:

Runs diagnostic tests on sv6 systems.

All tests run by default without logging.

Options:

a - Run all tests

b - Verify name resolution on slaves

c - Test connectivity to the compositor(s)

d - Verify connectivity to slaves through the terminal server g - Test connectivity on 1000baseT network

l - Turn logging on

n - Verify name resolution on master

p - Verify connectivity to terminal server r - Verify Remote Shell Capability

t - Test connectivity on 10/100baseT network

Executing sv6diag with no arguments runs all of the tests.
