8. Cleaning and care
Never open the casing of the appliance. There are no operating elements inside. When the casing is open, there is a risk of
•First pull the power plug out of the power socket and let the device cool off completely.
•The parts of the appliance may never be submer- ged in water or other liquids! There could be po- tential hazard of
•Clean the baking surfaces after using initially with a dry paper towel to soak up the grease residue.
•Then clean all surfaces and the power cord with a slightly damp wash cloth. Always dry the appliance well before using it again.
•Do not use any cleansers or solvents. This can damage the appliance or leave residues that could be incorporated into the next waffles.
In case of stubborn residues:
•Never make use of hard objects. This could damage the coating of the waffle surfaces.
•It is better to lay a wet wash cloth on the encrusted residue in order to soften it.
9. Storage
Let the appliance cool off completely before storing it. Wind the power cord around the holder under the bottom of the appliance. Store the appliance in a dry location.
10. Disposal
Do not dispose of the device in normal domestic waste.
Dispose of the device over a registered waste dispo- sal firm or through your communal waste disposal facility.
Observe the currently valid regulations. In case of doubt, consult your waste disposal facility.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
