M.I.X. (Random Play)

M.I.X. (Random Play)

Press 5 Searching from CD Text in the play or pause mode.

The tracks (files) on the disc will be played back in random sequence.

To cancel M.I.X. play, press 5 File/Folder Name Search again.

Internal CD mode :

CD Changer mode :

: Tracks are played back in random sequence.

: The tracks on all the CDs in the current magazine will be included in the random playback sequence.

Searching from CD Text

Tracks can be searched and played using the CD text on the disc. In the case of discs and changers that do not support text, searches can be made using the track numbers.

1 Press Manual background during play.

This will set the search mode.

2 Turn the Rotary encoder to select the desired track, then press MODE.

This will play the selected track.

Press and hold Manual background for at least 2 seconds in the search mode to cancel. Or, the search mode will be cancelled when an operation has not been performed in 10 seconds.

CD text search cannot be made during M.I.X. play.

File/Folder Name Search

(concerning MP3/WMA)

You can display and search for the folder and file name while listening to the file currently being played back.

If M.I.X. is set to ON during RPT Manual background (REPEAT ALL) play in CD changer mode, M.I.X. will apply to the current disc only.

MP3/WMA mode :

: Only files in a folder are played back in random sequence.

: Files are played back in random sequence. If an MP3 compatible CD changer is connected, all files in a disc are played back in random sequence, and playback shifts to the next disc.

: M.I.X. mode off

* When an MP3 compatible CD changer is connected

If a 6-disc CD changer or an MP3 compatible CD changer is connected:

In CD changer mode, press FUNC. to illuminate the “FUNC” indicator, and go to the step above within 10 seconds.

If a 12-disc CD changer is connected:

In CD changer mode, press FUNC. twice to illuminate the “FUNC” indicator, and go to the step above within 10 seconds.

Main Unit Operation

1 During MP3/WMA playback, press Manual background to activate the search mode.

2 Turn the Rotary encoder to select Folder Name Search mode or File Name Search mode, then press

Manual background.

Folder Name Search mode

3 Turn the Rotary encoder within 10 seconds to select the desired folder.

4 Press Manual background / Manual background to play back the first file in the selected folder.

Press and hold Manual background for at least 2 seconds in the search mode to cancel. Or, the search mode will be cancelled when an operation has not been performed in 10 seconds.

While in Folder Name Search mode, press Manual background to switch to File Name Search mode.

While in Folder Name Search mode, press FUNC. to return to the selecting search mode.

If a disc contains only the root folder, Folder Name Search cannot be made.

“ROOT” is displayed for the root folder which does not have folder name.

Folder Name search cannot be made during M.I.X. play.
