Operation Modes
On-line Operation
During on-line operation, the critical load is supported by the inverters. The main inverter controls the output voltage and the delta inverter controls the input current. The delta inverter also provides battery-charging current. While the UPS is running in this mode, a single-line diagram will appear on the screen. The green line indicates the power flow from the utility supply through the UPS to the load.
CAUTION!
Do not open Q2 when the UPS is in on-line operation, as this action may result in a load drop or a failure of the UPS to support the load.
