Manual Bypass Operation

During manual bypass operation, the critical load is supplied directly by utility power, making it possible to isolate the UPS and the Bypass Static Switch for maintenance.

Battery power is not available as an alternate power source while the system is running in manual bypass operation.

Note

A single-line diagram will appear on the screen, with an orange line indicating the power flow from the utility to the load via the Q3 breaker.

CAUTION!

Do not open Q3 when the UPS is in manual bypass operation, as this action may result in a load drop or a failure of the UPS to support the load.
