Reconditioning the battery

If you have a PowerBook Duo 270c, you can extend your battery’s
life by reconditioning your battery once every 30 days using
Battery Reconditioning, which is on the system software disk
labeled Disk Tools.
SImportant: The Battery Reconditioning application takes 2
hours to use. During this time, the battery is reconditioned,
and you cannot use your PowerBook. When you want to
recondition your battery, plan a time when you won‘t need
your PowerBook for at least 2 hours. S
vNote: You can’t use the Battery Reconditioning application if
you have a PowerBook Duo 210, 230, or 250. See the section
on maximizing your battery life and work time earlier in this
chapter for hints on extending your battery’s performance. v
To recondition a battery, follow these steps.
1. Plug in your PowerBook using your AC power adapter.
2. Insert Disk Tools in the floppy disk drive and turn on
your PowerBook.
3. Locate the Battery Reconditioning icon and open it.

reconditioning. If you don’t have your PowerBook plugged
