3. Close the Sharing Setup control panel.

If you want to give everyone on the network access to the items you share, continue with the next section, “Turning On Guest Access.”

Turning on guest access

If you want all users connected to the network to have access to your shared folders and disks, you need to turn on guest access.

1.Choose Control Panels from the Apple (K) menu and open the Users & Groups control panel.

2. Open the <Guest> icon.

3.Click the box under File Sharing labeled “Allow guests to connect” to place an X in it.

To allow guests to connect to your computer, click here so that an X appears in the box.

4.Close the window and click Save in the box that appears.

You can still restrict access to any folder or disk you share, as described in the section “Using Access Privileges,” later in this chapter.
