8.Click Install.

9.Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

If you are installing from floppy disks, you may see messages asking you to insert different disks.

10.When you see a message reporting that the installation was successful, click Quit.

If a message reports that installation was not successful, try installing again. (Follow the instructions on the screen.)

11. Restart your PowerBook.

Make a backup copy of the System Folder on floppy disks (or on another hard disk).

sWarning: Your startup disk must have only one System Folder. Multiple System Folders on a disk can cause malfunctions and data loss. You can use the Find command (in the Finder’s File menu) to see if there is more than one System Folder on your hard disk. Drag any extra System Folders to the Trash. s

Starting up with a floppy disk

If you’re unable to use your hard disk and you have a floppy disk drive, you can start up your computer by inserting the Disk Tools disk into the floppy disk drive and then turning on the computer. This disk contains programs you can use to initialize, test, and repair disks.
