This section describes possible causes and solutions for some common problems you may have with your PowerBook Duo, the Duo Dock, the Duo MiniDock, or associated equipment provided by Apple.

The PowerBook Duo

The computer won’t start.

nThe computer may be on, but the screen brightness or contrast may be turned down. Adjust the brightness and contrast controls to see whether an image appears on the screen.

nThe battery may be drained. Plug in the power adapter and then press the Power On key above the keyboard.

nThere may be a temporary problem with the computer’s power system. Press the x (Command), Control, and Power On keys simultaneously, or press the power button on the back of the computer.
