Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s technology and SATA-On-The-Go

This motherboard supports the next-generation hard drives based on the Serial ATA (SATA) 3Gb/s storage specification, delivering enhanced scalability and doubling the bus bandwidth for high-speed data retrieval and saves. The external SATA port located at the back I/O provides smart setup and hot-plug functions. Easily backup photos, videos and other entertainment contents to external devices. Dual RAID solution

The Intel® P965 chipset incorporates six Serial ATA connectors with high performance RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 functions. The JMicron controller provides another two Serial ATA connectors for RAID 0, 1, and JBOD functions. Making this motherboard an ideal solution to enhance hard disk performance and data back up protection without the cost of add-on cards. See pages 2-27 to 2-29 for details.

IEEE 1394a support

S/PDIF digital sound ready

This motherboard provides convenient connectivity to external home theater audio systems via coaxial and optical S/PDIF-out (SONY-PHILIPS Digital Interface) jacks. Dual Gigabit LAN solution
