the extension numbers of various people in the depart-
ment. For example, if you dialed [1] for personnel you

ht then hear an announcement similar to:
• For Jane Smith dial 13489
• For John Smith dial 15679
When a callers hear the extension number of the person
they wish to reach, they can either,
• Dial [1] and the extension number;
or
• Dial [2] and the mailbox number; they can then leave a
messa
g
e after the tone sounds.
SINGLE DIGIT DIALING

caller hears a recorded announcement listin

sion number or name of the extension owner.

its [5], [6], [7], and [8] are commonly allocated for

, but your system administrator may have

rammed your system differently.
OPERATOR ASSISTANCE
In those cases where an operator position has been pro-
g
rammed into the system, an external user can choose to
be connected to the operator:
1. Dial the IMAGEN telephone number.
2. Dial [0] to select the Operator Assistance option.
Additionally, if you had selected [2] to leave a messa
g
e,
and then chan
g
e your mind before the messa
g
e-record
announcement concludes, you can dial [0] to have your
call transferred to the operator.
