Viewing what is Currently Playing

In the audio player, this information is displayed about the music that is currently playing:

Music: Title, artist, and album, if available. If not available, the file name is displayed.

Audiobooks: Title and author, if available. If not available, the file name is displayed.

Audio Player

The same audio player is used for music files and audiobooks (and any other MP3 and OGG files). Here is the audio player:

Explanation

Previous: Double-tap the Previous button to start playing the previous track in the playlist (or the last track if at the beginning of the playlist).

Tap the Previous button to start playing the currently playing track from the beginning.

Play/Pause: Tap the Play button to start playing the current music. Tap the Pause button to pause playing. With playing paused, the next time you open the audio player, you start on that track unless the audio player scans for audio files, which it does when you turn your NOOK on and after you manage files using USB.

Next: Tap the Next button to start playing the next track in the playlist.

Volume: Tap the Volume button to change the volume. To change the volume, tap the desired volume on the volume slider, or touch the ball, move your finger to the desired volume, and then raise your finger. When you raise your finger, the volume slider disappears.
