Throw

If you swipe quickly in the gallery (Show Covers) and your finger is still moving when you raise it, the covers continue to scroll for a little while. This is called “momentum,” and the gesture is to throw. It also applies to scrolling in menus.

Menus

For everything that you are doing with your NOOK—reading, browsing the Shop, buying a subscription, searching your library, and so forth—the touchscreen displays context-sensitive menus. You use the menus to control what happens.

For example, here is the menu you see while viewing the My B&N Library section of your library:

Go to My Documents

Show Covers

Change view

Manage shelves

In this menu, you can:

Go to My Documents (the other section of the library)

NOOK User Guide
