To enter text in the template:

4For each field, type in the text, and then press r(OR press n). When r(OR n) is pressed after typing in the text for the last field, the MENU screen appears in the dis- play.

NOTE

☞If gis pressed while the last field is displayed, the first field appears. If nis pressed while the last field is displayed, the MENU screen appears.

☞To return to the first field while the MENU screen is displayed, press e.

☞Accented characters (pages 46 to 47), symbols (page 46), barcodes (page 47), time stamps (Refer to the Advanced Functions booklet.) and user-defined character images (Refer to the Advanced Functions booklet.) can be entered in the fields.

☞An Auto format template can be stored in the memory to be recalled and used at a later time. For details on storing Auto format templates, refer to page 72.

☞To immediately print the label for the selected template, press p.

7Rotate r (OR press m or g) until the name of the desired format style is dis- played. A sample can be seen on the right side of the display.

NOTE

The default setting (ORIGINAL) can be selected by pressing the space bar.

8Press r(OR press n). The MENU screen appears in the display again.

NOTE

To store the template with text and a specific character style, type in the text for each field, and then select the style of the text before storing the tem- plate.

To print a label using the selected tem- plate:

9Rotate r (OR press m or g) until ! moves beside PRINT.

NOTE

Before printing an Auto format template, a TZ tape cassette with the specified tape width must be installed.
