Cleaning the scanner

Before you clean inside the fax machine, unplug the

telephone line cord f irst, and then t he power cor d from the AC

power outlet.

Open the top cover by lifting the lever on the right side of the

top cover.

Clean the white film and the glass strip with isopropyl alcohol

on a lint-free cloth.

Close the top cover. Press down on both sides of the top

cover until you hear it click into place.

Plug in the telephone line cord back in first and then plug the

power cord back into the AC power outle t.

Changing the ribbon

The starter ribbon prin ts up to 30 pages.

Open the top cover by lifting the lever on the right side of the

top cover.

Remove the print cartri dge containing t he used ribbon and set

it upside–down with the blue gear in the upper left corner.

Be careful not to bend the white film or drop anythin g into the

fax machine.
