Aligning Ink Cartridges

This feature allows you to check and align the ink cartridges to assure best print quality. Make sure there is paper in the cassette before you start the alignment procedure.

1 Press Function, 2, 2. 2.VERTICAL ALIGN

2Press Start. The MFC prints a sample page.

Study the alignment page and decide which sample numbers show the most evenly printed ink lines for 300 and 600 dpi.

3Using the dial pad, enter the level of adjustment needed for 300 dpi (1 to 9).

600 DPI ADJUST￿

4Using the dial pad, enter the level of adjustment needed for 600 dpi (1 to 9).

5Print another sample Test Print and check it (see page 24-8).

6Press Stop to exit.
