1.Print Position Correction Error

Buzzer: 8 times

ERROR indicator: Blinks twice

<Cause> During initialization, the carriage print position is not corrected. (The differential between the carriage travel in each direction is outside the correction range.)

Carriage unit, carriage belt, carriage cable, carriage shaft, guide rail, idler pulley, logic board

<Measure>

Visually check carriage drive.

OK?

•Check for paper jams, wear and tear and removal of carriage belt;

•Carriage with faulty idler pulley assembly operation;

•Carriage shaft distortion, scratches, insufficient lubrication, etc.

•Does the carriage move smoothly when moved manually?

See "4. 2. 2 Carriage unit" (page 5-4)for how to release the carriage lock.
