13.Paper-out and Paper-jam Errors

<Measure> 1. Pickup error
<Cause> 1. No print media is picked up in pickup operation.
2.No print media is output in paper output operation. <Suspected parts> Sheet feeder unit, paper edge guide,
pressure roller and holder, platen, feed roller, paper output roller, transfer roller, paper output unit, paper end sensor, logic board
Check the type of loaded print media, the method by which loaded, and the printer'sambient conditions.

• Are there any abnormal sounds?

• Is paper picked up correctly when the sheet feeder unit operates?
Check sheet feeder unit.
•Remove the sheet feeder unit and check its operation manually.
•Check for abnormal soiling or deterioration of feed roller rubber and separation sheet. (Wipe away paper dust, etc.,
with ethanol to restore the ability to pick up | ||
the paper.) |
