Replacing a PCIe Card

Caution Cisco supports all PCIe cards qualified and sold by Cisco. PCIe cards that are not qualified or sold by Cisco are the responsibility of the customer. Although Cisco always stands behind and supports the C-Series rack-mount servers, customers using standard, off-the-shelf, third-party cards must go to the third-party card vendor for support if any issue with that particular third-party card occurs.

This server has seven PCIe expansion slots. See Figure 3-23and Table 3-6for information about the slots. The replacement procedures differ depending on whether the PCIe slot is in a riser or on the motherboard. This section includes the following topics:
