	Command or Action	Purpose
Step 2	interface interface-id	Specifies the interface on which you are enabling CDP,
		and enters interface configuration mode.
	Example:
	Switch(config)# interface gigabitethernet1/0/1
Step 3	cdp enable	Enables CDP on a disabled interface.
	Example:
	Switch(config-if)# cdp enable
Step 4	end	Returns to privileged EXEC mode.
	Example:
	Switch(config-if)# end

The following example shows how to enable CDP on a disabled port:

Switch# configure terminal

Switch(config)# interface gigabitethernet1/0/1

Switch(config-if)# cdp enable

Switch(config-if)# end
