Setup menu
Digital Audio
1Press [SETUP].
2Use [œ/√] to select ‘Preferences‘.
3Whilst ‘Preferences‘ is selected, press [†] to select ‘Digital Audio‘.
4Use [œ/√] to select the desired digital output type.
5Press [SETUP] to exit the menu.
•Off
No signal will be output from the Digital Audio Out jacks.
•PCM
Select when connected to a 2 channel digital stereo amplifier. The
•Bitstream
If your DVD is recorded with a DTS sound track then select Bitstream when connected to a Dolby Digital or DTS decoder (or an amplifier or other equipment with a Dolby Digital or DTS decoder).
Video Output
Progressive Scan Video provides the highest picture quality with reduced flickering.

3While ‘Preferences‘ is selected, press [†] to select ‘Video Output‘.
4Use [œ/√] to select the desired Video Output mode.
5Press [SETUP] to exit the menu.
When you use the HDMI connection, you can change the resolution (576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i) for the HDMI output by setting the video output option in setup menu.
